e-Shock participates in the JRC Experimentation
e-Shock takes part in the co-creation of the Living Lab for Smart City solutions at the JRC Research site in Ispra (Varese), a structure with over 400 buildings, 36 kilometers of internal roads and 2.000 staff; a real city-like testing environment.
The participation was granted through an application to the JRC call for expressions of interest to co-create living labs in two of its research sites: Ispra, in Italy, and Petten, in the Netherlands, for Smart City solutions.
e-Shock is running the tests within the Living Lab for Future Mobility Solutions of the European Commission Joint Research Center (JRC), aimed at calibrating Rob.Y vehicle dynamics control systems during manoeuvres like traction, braking and stability, on different road surfaces.
The company is also developing vehicle dynamics control systems and is testing the self-driving system in rural and urban test-tracks of the JRC.
Last stage of the experimentation: e-Shock plans the activation of a mobility service for people on campus, which will enable to test users’ adoption and behaviour in real usage situations.
