Privacy Policy
e-Shock S.r.l., REA MI-1880130, VAT IT06255330968, share capital €14,385.22, with registered office at Viale Monza 259, 20126 Milan, Italy (“e-Shock”, “we”) cares about the privacy of the people who visit this website (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy is provided under Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and explains which personal data we process through the Website, why, and what rights you have.
We process personal data in line with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity and confidentiality.
1. Data controller
The data controller is e-Shock S.r.l., as identified above. For any question about your personal data, including the list of our data processors, write to privacy@e-shock.it.
2. Which personal data we process
a. Browsing data
Like any website, the servers that run the Website automatically record some technical information when you visit it: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page or file requested, the response code, the type of browser and operating system. We use these data only to keep the Website working and secure, and to identify faults or abuse. They are kept in the server logs of our hosting provider for a limited time and are not used to profile you. They may be used to establish responsibility in case of cybercrime against the Website.
b. Data you send us through the contact form
When you fill in the contact form, we receive the data you choose to give us: your name, company, work e-mail address, the topics you are interested in and your message. Fields marked as required are needed to answer you; the message and topics are optional. The form sends your request by e-mail to our team; nothing is stored in a database on the Website.
To protect the form from spam, the server briefly keeps a non-reversible code derived from your IP address, for one hour, to limit the number of requests sent from the same connection.
Please do not include in your message special categories of personal data (Article 9 GDPR, e.g. health data) or personal data of other people. If you share other people’s data, you must be entitled to do so.
c. Cookies and similar technologies
The Website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or other tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from our own server, so no data is sent to third parties when you load a page. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
d. Links to other websites
The Website contains links to other websites (for example LinkedIn). When you follow them, the privacy policy of those websites applies.
3. Why we process your data and on which legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis | How long we keep the data |
|---|---|---|
| Answering your request and, if you wish, organising a meeting or sending you information about our products and services | Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) | For the time needed to handle your request and the following business discussion; in any case no longer than 24 months from our last contact, unless a contract is signed |
| Keeping the Website secure and working, preventing abuse of the form | Our legitimate interest in the security of our systems (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) | Server logs: for the period set by our hosting provider, and no longer than needed. Anti-spam code: 1 hour |
| Complying with legal obligations and defending our rights | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) | For the period required by law, or until the relevant limitation period expires |
Giving us your data through the form is voluntary. Without the required fields, however, we cannot answer you. We will not send you newsletters or marketing communications based on the form.
4. Who receives your data
- Our employees and collaborators who need the data to answer you, bound by confidentiality.
- Companies that provide services to us and act as data processors under Article 28 GDPR, in particular our website hosting provider and our e-mail service provider, and the people in charge of IT maintenance.
- Consultants (for example legal or tax advisers) and public authorities, where required by law.
We do not sell your data and do not share it for marketing purposes.
5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case the transfer is based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where applicable) or on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. You can ask for more information at privacy@e-shock.it.
6. Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you can ask us at any time to access your personal data, to correct or delete them, to restrict their processing, to receive them in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Write to privacy@e-shock.it.
If you believe that we process your data in breach of the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the authority of the EU country where you live or work.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy, for example when the Website or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page, with its date. This version replaces the one in force since 4 October 2021.
